EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Wood Buffalo 2023 Arctic Winter Games Host Society is working with educators from four school boards – the Fort McMurray Public School District, Fort McMurray Catholic School Division, Northland School Division, and Conseil Scolaire Centre-Nord– to develop fun learning opportunities related to sport, culture, healthy living and our Games.

Lesson Plans Built by Teachers for Everyone

The different aspects of the Education Program include an interactive bulletin board for your school, lesson plans and assessments, a poster project, a sports guide and an engagement campaign in partnership with APPLE Schools.

Each of these aspects are designed to engage students in sporting events as well as the cultural significance of the Games.

These lessons are open to anyone interested in teaching the Arctic Winter Games to youth.
