The Dene Games are rooted in traditional and cultural values and feature a number of unique events. This includes finger pull, snowsnake, stick pull, hand games (team) and pole push (team). There is also an all-around event, with Ulus awarded based on top combined scores for the three individual events.
A team consists of up to sixteen athletes.
