(Fort McMurray, AB – April 6, 2022) – The Wood Buffalo 2023 Arctic Winter Games Host Society is excited to officially launch sponsorship opportunities for the community to get involved in the international celebration of circumpolar sports and culture.

From a grade school education program that is rooted in culture and the celebration of sport, to the torch relay and 20 sporting events, the Games provide different sponsorship options that give everyone their time to shine.

“The Arctic Winter Games are about partnerships, community and creating a memorable experience for everyone – before, during and after the international celebration takes place,” said Michelle Toner, Director of Sponsorship. “On behalf of the Wood Buffalo 2023 Arctic Winter Games Board of Directors, we invite you to join the team and be a part of Wood Buffalo’s hosting history. Together we can show our spirit for sport while promoting our rich regional history and highlight local and international Indigenous culture.”

There are six different sponsorship levels and a variety of other naming rights and activations.

“We want you to shine with us through building your brand image, highlighting your community investment, engaging your team and supporting your business development,” said Nicole Clow, General Manager. “For one week, we will be the focus of the circumpolar North and it is with the continued support of the local business community that we are able to offer the best experience for our participants, visitors, officials, and fans.”
